Michelle Cannon of Walnut Avenue won the 85th Annual Hotel Ezra Cornell Chocolate Competition (along with her team member).

They were tasked to make two chocolates for the competition. Her truffle was peanut butter ganache with a middle layer of raspberry jelly, cut in squares, dipped in dark, and then topped with butter/salt roasted peanut. Her bon bon was a sea salt caramel.

These chocolates are going to be one of the amenities for Hotel Ezra Cornell weekend in April. A box of each will be placed in each of the guest's rooms, meaning they will be eaten by about 200 leaders in the industry. Also, her and her competition partner's bios along with a picture will be included next to the box in the hotel room.

Michelle was an assistant chocolatier at the Donna Toscana Lounge from age 15 until she left for school in September. She is currently attending the Cornell School of Hotel Administration (Class of 2013).
