Tea Party Seeking Union County Volunteers for November Election
The Scotch Plains – Fanwood Tea Party is seeking volunteers throughout Union County for the purpose of working to support candidates for federal office who best represent our philosophy of fiscal responsibility, small government and personal responsibility. We will organize and train volunteers to have an impact on the election by communicating with their friends and neighbors about key issues and getting out the vote on Election Day. We will provide volunteers with the materials and guidance to accomplish the job.
We have rallied, protested, and made our impact on the 2010 elections. But, with all our accomplishments, the outcome is still in doubt. The stakes are high, and we have much to lose. The November federal election will decide if we are to continue the American dream born 235 years ago or become a socialist society bogged down by unsustainable debt and government dictates on how we live our lives from Obamacare to which light bulbs we can use in our homes.
On Thursday, August 2 at 7 p.m. at the Scotch Hills Country Club, 820 Jerusalem Road, Scotch Plains, the Scotch Plains – Fanwood Tea Party will hold a meeting to organize volunteers and get them actively involved in the election process.
Come join us in taking back our country.

And to think that all this time I thought our country should be taken forward.

So, Pointy, are you saying that it is wiser to drain more blood out of the taxpayers, i.e., private sector, and expand the government, i.e., taxtakers?

Nice words. Taxtakers, taxpayers. Would you kindly tell me who exactly you're taking OUR country back from? And no, "the politicians" is a lazy answer and doesn't count.

Your question, Pointy, doesn't follow from my comment. I did not say or suggest that I wanted to take any country from anyone. Clearly, the government is a parasite deriving all of its revenue ultimately from the private citizenry. For my part, I don't want government to take me in any direction. I just want basic services. Private, charitable organizations will handle the rest.

Ok Tom, here's your answer. Your comment doesn't follow my original question. Please answer who you are taking it back from? Again, politicians, Socialists, Marxists, tax takers are way too simple and lazy. We are All Americans. I see many believe in personal responsibility when it comes to "government schools" (always a T-Party fav label), and many social programs. But when you need that "government ambulance" whoo boy, government shmovernment, the tune changes.
I've seen enough of your posts as Tom to know what answer to expect. Ba-bye now. I'm through with you.

Very fresh answer, Pointy. You should have your ears boxed.

Well thought out response Tom. So if you disarm the T-P'ers from using taxtakers, Marxism, Socialists, government schools, etc as talking points, then the reply becomes that someone in opposition should have their ears boxed?
Thanks for saving me having to use many posts to expose you.
