YWCA’s mission is eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
In 1978, in response to the growing concern about domestic violence in Union County, the YWCA EUC established Project Protect to provide emergency shelter for battered women and their children. Today, they are recognized as the lead domestic violence agency in Union
County, with a full range of services provided.
