Centennial Village Group Donates Funds To Help Cranford First Aid Squad Rebuild

Centennial Village Group donated $1,700 to the local emergency squad.

On Nov. 30, members of the Centennial Village Committee met with members of the Cranford First Aid Squad to present them with a check to assist with the necessary rebuilding post Irene.

As part of the CVG annual Music Fest,  a yearly fundraiser, which took place on Oct. 15,  the CVG committed that they would donate 50 percent of net proceeds to Irene flood victims. After some thorough due diligence, CVG decided that the donation would be best served to assist those who work to serve the entire Cranford community.

The Cranford First Aid Squad was significantly impacted and devastated by the storm. The entire building had to be evacuated and most of the contents had to be discarded. They were operating out of the Garwood First Aid Squad and recently moved into a trailer located adjacent to the building on Centennial Avenue. The CVG felt that $1,700 donation to the Cranford Fist Aid Squad would help those who work to help all of us.
