Five Things You Need To Know For Sept. 6, 2011

What's going on today...

 

1. Public Works crews wil begin a bulky waste collection today to remove flood-damaged items. Storm damaged  items may be placed on the curb on your property - do not leave them in the street. This will be a lenghy process because of the extensive damage.

2. Cranford residents who have yet to apply for funding through FEMA can do so by going to http://www.disasterassistance.gov/.

3. The first day of classes for students at Union County College will begin today. The start of semester was delayed out of respect for students who were affected by Hurricane Irene.

4. The Cranford Public Library will show the classic film "Madame Bovary" at 7 p.m. tonight. The film debuted in 1949.

5. NJ Division of Consumer Affairs has provided important links/tips for those  affected by Hurricane Irene on its website.
