The most popular baby names nationally and by state were released. Is your name on the list?
If there's a new baby on the block, there's a good chance that child is named Michael or Sophia. So says the Social Security Administration, which released the list of the most-used baby names for 2011, the most recent data available.
The top five names in New Jersey for girls are:
- Sophia
- Isabella
- Olivia
- Ava
- Emily
The top five names in New Jersey for boys are:
- Michael
- Ryan
- Anthony
- Jayden
- Jacob
