Residents gather to remember the six Cranford victims who perished on Sept. 11, 2001.

A crowd of residents, public officials, clergy, police and firefighters gathered at the Sept. 11 memorial park Tuesday night to honor the memory of the Cranford natives who died 11 years ago, when terrorists attacked the United States on Sept. 11, 2001.

Under clear skies, the community listened to speeches, prayers and songs. As the sun began to set, candles illuminated the park as the names of Cranford's victims were read in front of the monement. With their family members present, residents paid tribute to the six men who perished on Sept. 11: Dean P. Eberling, Christopher Michael Grady, Robert H. Lynch, Gregory Milanowycz, Thomas M. Regan and Leonard J. Snyder.
