The votes are in and Cranford Patch readers have decided that The Rustic Mill Diner is the best place to take mom for Mother's Day brunch.
The Rustic Mill Diner, located at 109 North Ave., is a restaurant that has been in business since 1970. It serves a variety of dishes for breakfast and lunch, such as panini, foccacia, wraps, dessert, burgers, steaks, pasta and much more.
The diner has, for years, been a favorite spot for residents and people who work in town to grab a quick meal. Local emergency workers have routinely ordered takeout from "The Mill," and teens often congregate there to munch on fries and french toast.
The Mill also gives patrons a chance to have lunch for free. From Monday through Friday from 12:30 to 2 p.m., the diner gives away a free lunch every half hour to customers with winning raffle tickets. The tickets are distributed when customers enter the restaurant. The diner is open seven days a week.
