St. Michael's Church will go dark this week, from Tuesday through Wednesday, according to an alert posted on the church's website.

"In order to install a new generator, PSE&G will shut down power to the entire Church building," said the message. "If all goes well, power will be restored on Thursday, December 13th."

The daily mass schedule will not be altered, but will move to the auditorium at St. Michael's School. Since normal telephone service will be unavailable during the power loss, the church has provided an alternate emergency telephone number on its website: 908-477-3093.
