A moose has been carved into a tree stump in the rear yard of a home on the corner of Willow and Lafayette in Cranford.

You may want to do a double-take when you pass a Cranford home on the corner of Lafayette Avenue and Willow Street. Sitting in the rear yard is a tall sculpture of a moose. When the homeowners had the tree cut down, they hired a man from Pennsylvania to carve a moose into the remaining stump.

Love it too!! We drove by it a few weeks ago and thought we were seeing things. Great way to preserve the tree's roots, no pun intended :)
