Two Cranford Men Arrested On Burglary Charges

The following information was obtained from the Cranford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

On Aug. 4, Cranford Police responded to a Willow Street address on the report of a residential burglary.

Detective John Swandrak conducted the investigation that led him to a business on Rte. 22 in Union. At this location, proceeds from the burglary in Cranford were recovered.

As a result of locating the proceeds, two suspects were identified. On Aug. 10 Swandrak arrested Tyrone Tiru, 20, and Patrick Lyman, 19, both of Cranford. Tiru and Lyman were both charged with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property, all third degree offenses. They were both released on their own recognizance.

All charges against Tiru and Lyman are pending in New Jersey Superior Court in Union County.
