Join the Friends of the Metuchen Library on Sunday, March 3rd from 2pm-4pm at The Forum Theatre (314 Main Street, Metuchen) for a fundraiser for the Metuchen Library.

Their guest will be the accomplished actor, director and travel writer, Andrew McCarthy. All proceeds will go toward much-needed improvements to the children's room and to the public meeting room. New Jersey native Andrew McCarthy has appeared in dozens of films, including TheSpiderwick Chronicles, The Joy Luck Club, Mulholland Falls, Pretty in Pink, St. Elmo's Fire, and Less Then Zero, Weekend At Bernie's and Mannequin. On television in Lipstick Jungle, Royal Pains, Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital, all the Law & Order's, White Collar and Gossip Girl.  In the theater, he has starred on Broadway in the Tony Award winning play, Side Man, The Boys of Winter, Fat Pig, Psycopathia Sexualis.  Andrew is an award winning travel writer. He is an editor-at-large atNational Geographic Traveler, and has written for The New York Times, The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, Slate, Travel+Leisure, Afar, Men's Journal, Bon Appetit, National Geographic Adventure, and others.

He’s won Grand Awards from both the Society of American Travel Writers and North American Travel Journalists Association." He has three times been cited for notable work in the "Best American Travel Writing" series.

His memoir is THE LONGEST WAY HOME.

Buy the Book at the Metuchen Public Library, Meet and Greet will occur at 1 pm the day of the event. Ticket price options are:

• $12/person for a ticket.
• $40/person for one ticket plus one place at the 1pm meet & greet with Andrew.
• $75 for two individual tickets plus two places at the 1pm meet & greet with Andrew McCarthy.
