A cut-a-thon fundraiser for Rahway Police Officer John Donofrio is scheduled for noon Aug. 26 at Cory Mathew’s Salon, 6 Eastman St., Cranford.

Donofrio was off duty when he was involved in a serious motorcycle accident on St. Georges Avenue in Woodbridge in June. He is in a coma.

Three barbers and one hair stylist will participate in the cut-a-thon. The minimum service fee is $10 for men’s cut and $30 for women’s haircuts. Beverages and food will be served. Walk-ins will be accepted, but appointments are suggested.

All proceeds from haircuts from both men and women, shape-ups, shaves and donations will go toward Donofrio’s medical expenses.
