On March 2011, Director Danny Boyle, Slumdog Millionaire, 28 Days Later, directed a stage production of Mary Shelley's, Frankenstein. In this production, Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller alternate playing Dr. Victor Frankenstein and his monster on successive nights. This recorded performance will be show at Digiplex, Digital Cinemas, 25 North Avenue W, Cranford on June 6 and 7, 2012 at 7 p.m. Admission is $15.
In a statement from digiplex: The play, written by Nick Dear, has won a number of awards, including the 2012 Olivier Award for best actor for Cumberbatch (Sherlock, War Horse) and Miller (Trainspotting, Dexter), as well as best lighting design; two Evening Standard Awards; two Critics' Circle Theatre Awards and the What's on Stage Awards for best director. It was filmed twice to allow audiences to see each actor in both roles.

Digiplex Cranford Theater, a town landmark built in the 1920s, was purchased in 1998 by CJM Entertainment President Jessy Sayegh and expanded from two screens to five. Bargain matinees are on Saturday, Sunday and holidays for the first show of the day. Discount tickets are available for children 11 and under, and senior citizens. On Tuesday nights, all shows are $7. Gift certificates are available and can be used for tickets and concession stand items.
