Cranford's Annual July 4th Celebration to help Honor Cranford's 140th Anniversary
The Cranford Recreation and Parks Department is hosting Fourth of July Fireworks to help honor Cranford's 140th Anniversary. This event will take place this evening beginning at 9:05pm at Nomahegan Park, 1033 Springfield Avenue, Cranford. There will be food vendors in the park offering zeppoles, pork & beef barbecue, sausage and hot dogs, ice cream and assorted drinks from 2:00pm until 10:00pm.
Cranford's Fireworks are co-sponsered this year by Union County, the Cranford Hotel, Dughi & Hewit, P.C., Rogut McCarthy LLC and Harbor Consultants Inc. Limited parking will be available at Union County College, however, residents are urged to walk if possible. RAIN DATE FOR FIREWORKS ONLY WILL BE ON TUESDAY, JULY 5th. Nomahegan Park is maintained by Union County. It offers a large waterway for canoes, kayaks and geese-watching, as well as a playground, gazebo and pavilion. Paths wind throughout the park, attracting resident joggers, walkers and bikers.
