Health Benefits of Culinary Herbs and Spices - Westfield Library
Today, Wednesday, June 6 at 7 p.m., the Westfield Memorial Library presents the Health Benefits of Culinary Herbs and Spices by Lorraine M. Harwelik. The library is located at 550 East Broad Street.
Many of the herbs and spices that our parents and our ancestors used in meal preparation did more than just preserve the foods and make them taste better: traditional herbs and spices actually helped people to become and stay healthy. Lorraine M. Harwelik is a dual certified clinical herbalist, licensed New Jersey educator, and registered yoga teacher.
For more than a quarter century, she has been helping people of all ages get well and stay well using natural diets, herbs and exercise. She is the founder of Natural Therapeutics for Health, LLC, in Cranford. The program is free and open to Westfield Memorial Library and MURAL cardholders. NOTE MURAL cardholders belong to libraries that are part of the Middlesex Union Reciprocal Agreement Libraries. Check our website to see if your library participates. To register for the program, visit the library's website at www.wmlnj.org, click on the Online Calendar, or call 908.789.4090 option 0. All are welcome.
