Come down and visit one of the largest, most detailed railroad models in the area. A new garden railroad is being developed to join the N-scale and HO-scale layouts already in operation. The HO layout measures 128' x 68' - with new track being laid and new cities coming to life on a weekly basis. The N-scale railroad is double layer, great for the little ones.
One of the largest, most dynamic model railroad layouts in North America, it is also a club that stresses craftsmanship, education and prototypical operations. Membership is available and while experience is not required, but a positive interest sure helps. Like any other worthwhile endeavor, you get out of being a member of The Model Railroad Club, Inc. what you put into it. If you share these values and have a passion for “The World’s Greatest Hobby”, then maybe we’re the club for you.
Established in New Providence/Murray Hill in 1949, The Model Railroad Club, Inc. is now located behind Home Depot on Rt. 22 East in Union, NJ. Easy to get to, and close to home. Come down and say hello. Stay for a while, or become a member - many hands make light, fun work. Families and individual memberships are available.
Take note - We are one of only a few Clubs in No. America who operate the layout on a "3 trick" cycle - every week of the year. Come down and learn what "3 trick" means - we love to share our world in miniature.
