$12.50
"Make it so, Number One." A generation of Trekkies was once glued to their TVs, watching the adventures of Capt. Jean-Luc Picard and crew. Now Star Trek: The Next Generation 25th Anniversary Event is the first opportunity to see it like never before, on the big screen. Digiplex Destinations digital cinemas in Cranford, N.J. and Bloomfield, Conn., will host the event on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 7 p.m.
The special screening will include Next Generation episodes "Where No One Has Gone Before" and "Datalore," along with exclusive looks at the massive digital restoration of season one episodes, never before seen interviews with the original cast members, and behind the scenes chats with the artists who created the original special effects for the show. Audiences will also be privy to an unseen sneak-peak of another restored episode from season two, "Measure of a Man." Tickets are $12.50.
Set in the 24th century, The Next Generation was created by Gene Roddenberry over 20 years after the original Star Trek series. The Next Generation became the longest running series of the Star Trek franchise, consisting of 178 episodes over seven seasons.
"We know how passionate viewers have become about Star Trek. In fact, we have a few Trekkies on our staff, so if you see some folks in pointy ears, there's no need for alarm. Some of us are big fans ourselves," said A. Dale "Bud" Mayo, Digiplex Destinations chairman/CEO.
The Digiplex Cranford Theater is located at 25 North Avenue, Cranford, N.J. For more information, visit www.digiplexdest.com. All are welcome.
