Garwood Y Offers New School Age Complements For Cranford Students

The Westfield Area Y is pleased to announce that the Garwood Family Center Y located at 500 East Street in Garwood is now providing PM Kindergarten Wraparound and after school programs for Cranford students with busing from the Walnut Avenue, Livingston Avenue, Hillside Avenue and Brookside Place Schools.

The center provides fun, active and nurturing programs to give parents peace-of-mind in the after school hours.  Students are grouped by grade in classrooms for structured learning using Creative Curriculum® and homework time for older students. The program incorporates the Healthy U program which teaches children that eating healthy and being physically active can be fun. The facility includes outdoor fields and playgrounds, a fitness center (for grades 2-5), indoor activity room and easy parking for pick-up.

Working parents appreciate the availability of a convenient inclement weather plan and school holiday vacation fun club.
