Genealogy Workshop
An open-house genealogy and membership workshop will be held by Crane’s Ford Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hanson House; 38 Springfield Avenue; Cranford. The workshop is open to the public who may come in at any time. There is no charge. Participants should bring any records or documents if they have them. Members of the chapter will welcome guests and answer questions.
Area residents are encouraged to stop in for research assistance with their family genealogical history especially if they believe it may be connected in some way to the Revolutionary War period.
Any woman is eligible for membership in the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution who is 18 years or older and who is descended from an ancestor who served the cause of American independence through either military, civil or patriotic service. DAR objectives are to perpetuate the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American independence; to promote the knowledge of duties of citizenship; to foster patriotism; to promote educational and historical endeavors.
