Artistic Director and Met Opera luminary Lucine Amara invites singers, actors, prospective volunteers, and the public to attend the annual open house and learn more about Verismo Opera on Saturday, September 7, 2013, 1:00 p.m., at 44 Armory Street in Englewood, New Jersey. The event is free and open to the public.
The Verismo Opera Chorus and soloists will perform pieces from Nabucco, La Traviata, Cavalleria Rusticana, among others.
The company will introduce the double bill of Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana and Giacomo Puccini’s Suor Angelica to be performed on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC), located at 30 North Van Brunt Street in Englewood, New Jersey.
Opportunities to perform with Verismo Opera, the chorus, act as a supernumerary or volunteer with the company will be presented. Youngsters interested in gaining experience on the stage as supernumeraries are invited to attend the open house and learn more about performing opportunities in Cavalleria Rusticana.
