Community Corner

Registration for Newark Corporate Run is Open

Proceeds from Corporate Run to Benefit Integrity House

Registration has opened for the annual Newark Corporate 5-K Run that will take place on the streets of downtown Newark at noon on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. The Newark Corporate Run annually draws upwards of a thousand runners, primarily from within Newark’s downtown corporate community.  It is held to help raise funds for community outreach programs and treatment facilities at Integrity House, a nationally recognized substance abuse rehabilitation center with locations in Newark and Secaucus.

The Newark Corporate 5-K Run brings awareness to the scope of programs and services provided by Integrity House. Over one thousand runners are expected to participate in the event. Runners can sign up in Corporate Teams or individually. Major corporate participants in the race include Prudential, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, PSE&G, Edison Properties and the Veterans Administration. Among the highlights of the mid-day run is a performance by famous hip hop artists and New Jersey natives Sugar Hill Gang.
