WESTFIELD AREA Y LOCAL TEENS RAISE MONEY TO HELP SUPPORT FAMILIES IN NEED

The Westfield Area Y Leaders Club proudly raised $370 to benefit the Y’s Strong Kids Campaign by rocking in rocking chairs for over 8 hours on Saturday, February 22nd.

Thanks to the Strong Kids Campaign, no one who lives or works in Westfield, Cranford, Garwood or Mountainside and is experiencing a bona fide financial hardship is turned away for the inability to pay, whether due to unemployment, poor health, financial issues or other circumstances.

The Westfield Area Y’s Leaders Club is comprised of both middle and high school students that want to make a difference within their community. The Club fosters leadership development, personal growth and service to others. Meetings are held semi-weekly on Tuesdays from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Westfield Area Y Robert and Virginia Bauer Branch, 422 East Broad Street in Westfield.
