WESTFIELD AREA Y PRESCHOOLERS HAVE FUN IN THE FALL

The Westfield Area Y’s Fun for Fours and More for Fours preschool classes from both Westfield and Cranford preschool locations were so excited to take a joint trip together to Williams Nursery in Westfield and celebrate the beauty of the season.

It was a beautiful fall day so the children were able to enjoy a hay ride, picked a pumpkin, had a picnic snack and had fun in the hay maze and playing the Angry Birds game. The participants got to bring back pumpkins and fall paper whites. They counted and sorted pumpkin seeds and are graphing the growth of the paper whites.

There have been a lot of fun fall activities and lessons learned by these preschoolers. Their fall curriculum also included a study of trees. Children learned about the changing colors of leaves, apples that grow on trees and about the animals that live in trees.
