$1M Mega Millions Lottery Ticket Sold in Cranford

One of two New Jersey $1 million tickets from the $648 million Mega Millions jackpot was sold in Cranford.

A $1 million winning Mega Millions ticket was sold in Cranford on Tuesday when the grand jackpot was up to $648,000,000.

The winning Cranford ticket was sold at Krauzer’s on Raritan Road, a lottery spokesperson told NJ.com.

Tuesday’s winning numbers were 08,14,17,20 and 39 with the Mega Ball number being 7 and the Megaplier number being 4.

Cranford’s winning ticket matched five of the numbers, but not the Mega Ball.

The Cranford winner did not pay an extra $1 for the Megaplier option, but if they had they would have won $4 million.

Another $1 million ticket was sold in New Jersey at a 7-Eleven on Lakewood Road in Toms River. The winner there also did not purchase the Megaplier.

Across the United States, 20 $1 million tickets were sold, none of which paid the extra $1 for the Megaplier, according to the lottery’s website.

Two winners in San Jose, CA and Atlanta, GA split the $648M jackpot.

The $648 million jackpot was just shy of the lottery’s record in 2012 of $656 million.  Tuesday's winners broke the 22-drawing run.
