Cranford Plans Sept. 11 'Day of Peace'

The WTC Committee will conduct a remembrance service and candle lighting ceremony.

The Cranford WTC Committe and the Cranford Clergy Council will be conducting a Remembrance and Day of Peace service on Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Cranford World Trade Center Memorial Park, at the corner of North Union  and Springfield avenues.

In the event of rain, it will take place at the First Presbyterian Church. The service will include song, prayers and will end with a candle lighting ceremony.

The WTC Memorial Park was developed by the WTC Committee, a non-profit group consisting of family members and Cranford residents. The Memorial Park was dedicated on Sept. 11, 2003 and was made possible by many generous donations.

Donations for the perpetual maintenance of the park are welcomed and appreicated. Donations can be sent to: Cranford WTC Fund, Box 265, Cranford, NJ 07016.
