Cut-a-Thon To Benefit Cranford Family Care - JC & Crew Haircutters

JC & Crew Haircutters invites citizens of Cranford and surrounding communities to get their haircut for a good cause on Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 10:00am - 5:00pm.

All proceeds from the “Cut-a-thon” will benefit Cranford Family Care, which provides short-term, emergency assistance to families living in Cranford.

“Between Hurricane Irene and the October blizzard, the last few months have been rough on our community.  We want to help the families that are still suffering to rebuild their lives,” said Janice Beltran, owner of JC & Crew Haircutters.

Participants are urged to bring in nonperishable food items for Cranford Family Care to hand out to families for the Thanksgiving holiday.  All children’s haircuts are $10; men’s haircuts are $15; and women’s haircuts are $20.

“We had a similar event in March to benefit kids with cancer, and it was a huge success,” said Beltran.  “Everyone at the salon is so excited to be providing our services for another great cause, which is to help our neighbors.”  Complimentary refreshments will be served, and each participant will receive a gift certificate for a future salon service.
