What's going on today...

1. Aquatics aerobic classes will continue at the l, 401 Centennial Ave., Cranford.

2. The Cranford Friday Senior Citizen Club meets weekly on Friday afternoons at 1 p.m. This meeting takes place in the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Ave. You must be a Cranford resident to join the club.  For more information call Helen at 908-276-2849.

3. The Free Basketball Clinic will celebrate the end of the season at the Recreation Center at 9 a.m. with free giveaways and prizes.

4. A special benefit show featuring Local recording artist Jill Cagney is being planned for Aug. 23 at The Crossroads, 78 North Ave. in Garwood. Proceeds will help offset the costs of medical treatment for a Cranford child suffering from a brain tumor. Admission for the &;30 p.m. show will be $10 per person.

5. On this date in 2004, New Jersey Gov. James E. McGreevey announced his resignation.
