For Cranford Grads, "Cranstock" Summer Wing Boasts Food, Friendship, and Fun
The annual summer party drew hundreds of Cranford grads to the Deutscher Club in Clark.
Cranford alumni came out in droves for the 9th Annual "Cranstock Summer Wing" on June 25th at the Deutscher Club in Clark. The reunion-type event drew over 300 hundred former Cranford students to celebrate their hometown heritage with food, live music, brews and kid games.
The event originated nearly a decade ago as a house party at the Zoltak residence, but soon morphed into a larger gathering held in Nomahegan Park. Two years ago, the influx of attendees prompted Cranstock volunteers to seek out a new location as the event had outgrown the park area. At that point, Cranford's Bob O'Donnell and his many volunteers spearheaded the movement and through blood, sweat and tears, were able to secure the Deutscher Club in Clark.
The event was made possible by the spirit of Cranford's passion for good vibes and good times. Attendees donated time, supplies and money to make the event a success. Cranford's own "Hoboken Eddie" McCarthy donated his services as master chef, cooking up all his special dishes for the entire crowd.
