Patch Readers Offer to Fill Girl Scout Cookie Orders

It's that time of the year again for a box (or four) of Do-Si-Dos.

We've been told local Girl Scout cookie sales won't happen until March. We asked for some help in securing a box on our Facebook page.

We got plenty of feedback. One Patch reader shared a cookie locator, but, "No sales scheduled in our area," said Erin Heckler.

Then we got some specific news: "Booth sales for the local council won't be until March," said Melanie Cortese.

But Patch readers quickly stepped up and offered to fill orders for anyone who needs to satiate their Samoas fix.

"I'm one of the leaders of Junior Troop 40525. Our 4th graders are selling cookies," commented Ginette Bracke. "My email is ginettebracke@yahoo.com."

Hillside Avenue School mom Susan Foster offered to fill orders for Troop 40168. "Contact me and I will get your order down, sueyachnik@aol.com," she commented. She says it's $4.00 a box and her inventory includes:

Savanah smiles - lemon cookies dusted with powdered sugar, Trefoils - traditional shortbread, Do-si-do's peanut butter sandwich cookies, Samoas - caramel, coconut, chocolate, Dulce de Leche - cookie with caramel chips, Thank u Berry much cookie w/cranberry and white fudge chips, Tagalongs - peanut butter patties and of course THIN MINTS.
