Lacrosse Is a New Sport at UCC This Spring
Union County College will field its first lacrosse team in March.
Union County College will be fielding a new athletic team this spring. The first team of Owl lacrosse players will begin training next semester.
According to UCC President Margaret M. McMenamin, the addition of lacrosse to UCC's sports offerings is a move to update the experience the college offers to a diverse range of students at the college campus. Lacrosse is a wildly popular sport in high schools across Union County and the nation.
The team will begin its season in March. Here's a schedule from the Union Owls athletic website.
