What Would Make Cranford Better in 2013?

We asked what the questions and got several answers on Facebook.

Cranford Patch asked residents to voice their opinions about what they thought Cranford could improve in 2013. We got a few answers on Facebook. Flooding and Cranford's police chief were two things that reappeared.

A simple "no flooding," is how Patch reader Charlie kicked off the comment thread. Cranford has seen some of the worst flooding in years after Hurricane Irene hit over a year ago. His call for no flooding was echoed by Maureen, who added safe schools, an outdoor farmers market and Jim Wozniak for police chief, to her list of improvements.

Roseann pointedly said the township needs, "A police chief who actually responds to residents who reach out for help or answers," lobbing a criticism at Cranford's top cop. She also wants to see "a better downtown." Roseann gave a call to action for township to, "Pick up the leftover Sandy debris already," she commented. But, she also wants something for the youth, " A skate park for the kids, or something along the lines of Madison Hill Rd Park in Clark."
