Cranford Library Introduces Free E-Books

The library is introducing a second source for e-books due to growing demand.

The following information was provided by Cranford Public Library.

The Cranford Public Library recently introduced Baker & Taylor’s Axis 360, a source of free ebooks, which works with many smart devices.

Cranford Public Library Director John Malar noted, "We are very pleased to be able to offer Axis 360 to our patrons. For a number of years, now, patrons have been able to download ebooks from another service we provide called eLibraryNJ, and the demand for eLibraryNJ has been steadily growing--so much so, that we think it makes sense to add another source of ebooks for our patrons to use. Axis 360 fills that bill. Between eLibraryNJ and Axis 360, our patrons will have a better chance of obtaining the titles they want in a timely manner."

The Axis 360 “Magic Wall” can be searched by keyword, browsed by subject, or browsed by broader categories, such as Fiction, Non-Fiction, and Children & Teens. To use Axis 360, go to cranford.com/library and click on the Axis 360 logo.

Patrons using Axis 360 will need to know their Cranford Public Library card number, as well as their personal identification number (PIN). If you do not know your PIN or do not have one, call the library at 908-709-7272 or stop by the library’s main desk.

For help accessing Access 360, call the library at the number listed above and ask for the reference desk.
