Cranford Woman Helps You Find the Perfect Gift With Online Shop

After 20 years spent in the financial service industry, Rose Rodelo, of Cranford, was one day told she would be without a job in 90-days. She took that opportunity to start something she always dreamed of, a gift boutique called “Once Upon a Gift.”

Growing up, Rodelo spent her days working in mother’s gift shop and it was always a dream of hers to have her own shop. She never envisioned it being online only, so is hopeful she may have her own storefront one-day. Right now, this is her fairytale, which is where the name “Once Upon a Gift” comes from.

“I wanted a name that would represent the storybook/fairytale dream that was coming true for me,” she explained. “So I turned Once Upon A Time into Once Upon A Gift.”

Coming up with the name, logo and design was her favorite part of launching the company, she said. However, the satisfaction she gets from helping people find the perfect gift is what she really enjoys about the company.

The online store sells all types of gifts for men, women, children and the home. Some of the bestsellers include, tutus and personalized gifts, she said. Also available through the boutique are gifts and favors for showers, birthdays, weddings and religious events.

To keep along with the fairytale, each category is based off royalty, rather than your usual “men’s” or “women’s,” it’s instead labeled, “for the King“ or “for the Queen.”
