CVG Music Fest Draws A Crowd With Food And Plenty Of Music

Hundreds attended the annual music festival, which raised funds for Cranford flood relief efforts.

The Centennial Village Group drew hundreds to its annual music fest on a beautiful fall day on the Lincoln school grounds. Activities included face painting, feather extensions, a tricky tray raffle and a 50-50 raffle.

The CVG cooking crew prepared everything from barbecue to BLTs to satisfy the hungry crowd. Musical entertainment included local Cranford musicians and bands and the headliner "Stupid Should Hurt," who closed the event with a rousing version of Proud Mary, Ike and Tina style, that had the crowd dancing up a storm.

The Centennial Village Group is made up of Cranford volunteers dedicated to the revitalization and beautification of the Centennial Avenue business district. Half of the proceeds raised at this years music fest will be donated to Cranford flood relief.
