Nicholas has always been an avid fan of scooters and even participates in competitions. Although enjoying the sport, he became frustrated at the quality of foreign-made scooters. Particularly, the wheels on his scooter would easily break and he was constantly spending money replacing the wheels every few weeks. Nicholas turned that frustration into action. He created the design for new wheels and located a company in California to manufacture them. LB Scoots was born. In addition to his signature scooter wheels, Nicholas designed scooter-related parts such as clamps and grips.
Through “word of mouth” publicity and a grass roots marketing approach, LB Scoots flourished and the company now generates orders from around the country and even internationally.
Nicholas’ story is the living example of a great lesson: you get quality products when you buy Made in the U.S.!
