Five Things You Need To Know Today: July 5th
The events and happenings in the area to keep in mind for the day.
- The Red Shoes. The classic film The Red Shoes will be shown at the Cranford Public Library at 7:00 p.m. The movie, based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, follows a young ballerina torn between the man she loves and her pursuit to become a prima ballerina.
- Summer Arts Program. will host its weekly Summer Arts Program from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The sessions teach fine arts and crafts, and are taught by New Jersey Certified Art Teachers.
- Free Mixed Martial Arts. will have a free trial mixed martial arts class from 8:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. For more information or to register, call 908-497-1100.
- Downtown Jazz Festival. Westfield will hold its weekly Sweet Sounds Downtown Jazz Festival from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Music can be heard outside various downtown locations, including the lawn in front of the North Avenue train station and in front of Banana Republic.
- Blood Drive. The Clark Emergency Volunteer Squad will hold a Blood Drive from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
