Women's Club Seeks A Few 'Homes For the Holidays'

The CJWC is looking for township residences to include on its annual house tour this December. Funds raised during the event are donated back to the community.

The 23rd annual “Home for the Holidays” House Tour, hosted by the Cranford Junior’s Women’s Club, is scheduled for Dec. 2. The House Tour is the club’s main fundraising event and its proceeds support philanthropic organizations in and around Cranford such as Cranford Family Cares, via Project Home. The CJWC is a 501(c )non-profit organization and donates all monies raised back to the community.

One generous Cranford family has already offered to showcase their home on this year’s tour. However, in order to conduct the House Tour, three additional homes need to be secured. Typically, homes with history, recent updates, or large floor plans serve the House Tour best.

The responsible volunteers from the CJWC take care of all of the details and security the day of the tour. Local florists donate arrangements to the homes which add to the festive, holiday atmosphere. Homeowners can use their discretion as to any off-limits areas, and all visitors remove their shoes before entering the houses.
