The voter turnout was much better than normal at Roosevelt Intermediate School, according to one poll worker.
Assemblyman Jon Bramnick cast his own ballot at the school on Tuesday morning, according to another volunteer.
Last year due to Sandy, voters from Roosevelt Intermediate were redirected to Franklin elementary, but this year Franklin voters headed to RIS.
Residents of the First Ward in Districts 1 to 3 and 5 and 7 vote at RIS. Polls close this evening at 8 p.m.
