Unofficial results show Mary O'Connor and Bob D'Ambola as Cranford's next commissioners.

Mary O’Connor and Bob D’Ambola have won the two available commissioner seats on Cranford Committee, according to unofficial results from the clerk’s office.

O’Connor received a majority of the votes at 3,795 with D’Ambola close behind at 3,618, however these results do not include mail in ballots.

Current commissioner Kevin Campbell received 3,362 votes and candidate Kelly Howard received 3,267.

O’Connor and D’Ambola frequent many of the township meetings in order to convey the concerns of Cranford residents. D’Ambola outlined some of Cranford’s major issues as flooding and taxes.

“I love Cranford and have considered running for a few years.  After seeing the devastation from Hurricane Irene I knew it was time for me to try and help the best way I can by devoting my time to the Township Committee,” he said during his campaign.

O’Connor outlined some of Cranford’s issues as fighting the Birchwood Development, flood control and professional management in the township.
