Steady Turnout of Cranford Voters For Election, Poll Workers Say

Poll workers at Orange Avenue, Brookside Place and CHS said the turnout of voters for the general election has been steady today.

For one district at OAS, 450 voters had already turned out by 2 p.m., a worker said.

She added that there was a surge of voters in the morning and that tonight would be crazy.

Poll workers at Brookside and CHS agreed that tonight, after work hours, would be a rush of voters.

In District 23, 144 of 567 voters already turned out, but they expected to get a majority of the district'a votes by the time the polls closed at 8 p.m.

"We've had a line most of the day," poll worker, Adeline Kellett said. "We have a good district (23), a majority of them turn out."
