1ST FRIDAY @ GALERIA WEST Music Concert Series Event with THE YAS-CORTES DUO in Concert

The popular bi-monthly 1ST FRIDAY @ GALERIA WEST Music
Concert Series brings to you a special evening of Latin music traditions and
more in concert on the first Friday of every other month at this unique venue.
The series brings to you on this evening a music tour of popular traditional
Latin American music with the acclaimed Yas-Cortes Duo at the wonderfully intimate Galeria West art and music venue in downtown Westfield,
NJ.



The YAS CORTES DUO is comprised of guitarists and vocalists
Maria Cortes and Oscar Yas. The husband and wife team were born in Argentina
where they have won several prestigious music and vocal contests. The duo's
extensive repertoire includes Latin American Music and the popular Tango as
well as Boleros and the Flamenco. Founders and members of various vocal
ensembles, they have performed in the great concert halls throughout North and
South America and Europe. In the tri-state area they have performed at Carnegie
Hall, St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC, Giants Stadium, NJPAC, Trump Taj Mahal,
Caesar's Palace and with TEATRO Sí. The YAS CORTES DUO has shared the stage
with numerous renowned artists such as; Ariel Ramirez, Jaime Torres, Horacio
Guarani, Mercedes Sosa, Teresa Parodi, Ruben Juarez, Raul Lavie, Raul Barbosa,
Roberto Goyeneche, Carlos Santana, Atahualpa Yupanqui, Chango Nieto, Susana
Rinaldi, Julio Iglesias, Alfredo Zitarroza, Los Tucu Tucu, Victor Heredia, Los
Chalchaleros and more. They are thrilled to be having an encore concert
presentation with TEATRO Si at the 1ST FRIDAY @ GALERIA WEST Music
Concert Series.
