Alliance Repertory Theatre Company presents Jane Martin's "ANTON IN SHOW BUSINESS"
Alliance Repertory Theatre Company has announced the cast
for its season opening fall comedy Jane Martin’s “ANTON IN SHOW BUSINESS”. An all-female cast perfoms multiple roles
(including some male!). Our cast
includes : Alzie Rejouis- Paterson,
Elizabeth Belonzi- Hoboken, Gloria Lamoureaux- Succasunna, Jennifer Robbins-
Mountain Lakes, Kristina Hernandez- Westfield, Mary Sullivan- Freehold and Nina
Martin- of New Brunswick. This madcap
comedy follows three actresses as they pursue their dream of performing
“Chekhov” in Texas. The play’s hilarious journey conveys all the joys, pains
and absurdities of ” putting on a play” as it pokes fun of such issues as
gender roles, multi- culturalism, arts funding and the tobacco industry. Michael Driscoll, Director, states, “This
cast of seven women is not only extremely talented and hardworking, they are
also a delight to work with. Come see the show, they will surely tickle your
funny bone! "
Anton in Show Business will open on Friday, October
11th and run through Saturday, October
26th at Edison Valley Playhouse, 2196 Oak Tree Rd in Edison. Performances are
Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $17 for
