Community Corner

Community Outreach Blanket Ministry

The Cranford United Methodist Church invites all community

members to join us on Saturday, November 23, 2013 in a Thanksgiving mission

project. Beginning at 6 pm that evening, we will gather to make fleece blankets

which will be donated to the Bridges Outreach Center in Summit, NJ.  Bridges serves homeless and working poor
families in the Irvington, Newark and New York City areas, providing food,
clothing and other needs.

As the cold weather approaches, the need for warm clothing
and blankets increases. We will be creating beautiful, colorful fleece
blankets; no sewing is involved, and the only skill required is tying a knot!
All ages are welcome to join us in some refreshments and community as we reach
out to those in need. There is no admission charge, but cash donations toward
the fleece purchase will be gratefully accepted. We will meet in Randolph Hall; the church is located at the corner of Walnut and Lincoln Avenues, next to the
Community Center.

Any questions may be directed to the church office at 908-276-0936

or to Holly Walker at 908-709-8918. We hope to see you there!
