Cranford High Schools Friends of the Performing Arts (FoPA) Cabaret

Friends of the Performing Arts Department (FoPA) at
Cranford High School will be sponsoring its third Cabaret Night on Saturday,
November 2, 2013 beginning at 6:30 PM at the Garwood Knights of Columbus across
from Pathmark on South Avenue in Garwood.
The entrance is in the rear.   The
event will headline Michael Dooley and select students representing all of the
performing arts at Cranford High School: the chorus, band, orchestra, dance and
theater departments.   .

The funds generated by FoPA in the past have helped to
subsidize the refurbishing of the grand piano (a $20,000 endeavor),  the purchase of new flags for the color guard,
and visiting artist such as this year’s choral concert: For My People on
October 18th.  This year, FoPA will again
raise money to supplement the educational needs of the students with the focus
on improving the rigging for the lighting in the auditorium.

Area businesses have already contributed generous
donations for a Tricky Tray and refreshment table.  Tickets for the Cabaret Night are available
for $20.00 in advance or $25.00 at the door.
Tickets are for sale in the main office at Cranford High School or by
contacting Ginger Burd: burdvirg@cranfordschools.org or calling- (908) 272-4315.
