HAS 7th graders organize donation drive Fund Raiser for Relief Efforts in the Philippines - Typhoon Haiyan

What:  DONATION DRIVE FUND-RAISER for survivors of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines

When: Sunday,
Dec. 1, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM  

Location:
35 Mendell Ave. Cranford, NJ 07016

KIDS HELPING KIDS. Hillside Ave. School 7th graders, Joshua Furer and his friends, Ryan Sawyer and TIm O'Donnel hope to raise at least $1000. (That's about 350 kitchen bags of used clothing or items). ALL organizations and companies are invited to join. More items collected, translate into more monies donated to help the
victims.

Philippine Disaster Relief Foundation (PDRF) Brick by Brick
project is one of the projects that resonated to the 7th grader, Joshua Furer. For as little
as $0.25 (PhP10.00) you get a brick that will help rebuild these communities.
Every cent will make a big difference. (www.pdrf.org)

ARK - Advancement of Rural Kids 10,000+ people affected.  On Nov. 8, Typhoon Haiyan ravaged the province of Capiz for 5 hours!!Villages and towns levelled and in the dark. Kids and families with no home or roof over their head. Rice paddies - source of food and income - gone. Relief from the government is severely limited!

 

Both organizations ensure that 100% of the donations go to the rebuild/relief -- directly to the survivors/victims of typhoon Haiyan.

 

Money donations acceptable. Please make check payable to FALDEF (notate Haiyan). FALDEF is in partnership with PDRF's Brick by Brick project.  FALDEF's Directors have direct contact in the Philippines
and can assure everyone that 100% of the all monies and relief goods raised are distributed directly to the victims.

Once again, the
clothing drive is on Sunday, December 1, 2013 from 9am - 12pm at 35 Mendell Ave. in Cranford, NJ.
 ( DO NOT drop off before or after the
specified date and time)
 

Items being collected are as follows:

Clothing/Shoes: All types and styles of wearable clothing (Men, Women and

Kids)Shoes and/or sneakers

Household Items such
as blankets, sheets/pillows, bedspreads, quilts, comforter, towels, table cloths,
drapery/curtains, bath rugs.

Accessories such
as purses, backpacks, briefcases, belts, hats, gloves, under garments, socks, scarves,
ties and baby accessories.

Toys such as
stuffed animals, hard toys, cars, airplanes, play sets, and blocks. NO books/CD's, VHS Tapes, Kitchen Appliances, Outdoor Toys
or Furniture.

All items must be put in well tied trash bags. ClothingDriveFundraiser.com will send collected items to
support people in need of wearable used clothing via micro-enterprise programs
around the globe. Items not suitable for reuse will be recycled.
