Tennis Under the Stars!! Win a Free Half-Membership!!

The Cranford Clay Courts Club has announced an Open House will be held on Tuesday, June 4th, starting at 6:00 pm. The festivities will continue until 9:30PM on the Club's three lighted courts. The Open House provides an opportunity for those who are interested in trying
out the facility and playing on the Club's clay courts. The public is encouraged to bring their rackets and tennis sneakers and are invited to play with Members and fellow Guests. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome. Attendees who sign up for new Club Membership at the Open House will be eligible to enter a raffle drawing, the winner of which will receive a Free 1/2 Season Club Membership for either this Season or the 2104 Season. In addition, several games of luck and tennis skill will be held, and there will also be a raffle drawing for several prizes, including a free Tennis Lesson with one of the
Club's Instructor's.

The Club is fortunate to be one of the few “soft court” (har-tru) tennis facilities in New Jersey with a lighting system allowing for evening play. The Cranford Clay Courts were built in the 1920’s and were municipally operated until 1991, when the Town was about to close the courts for budgetary reasons. A group of volunteer tennis loyalists formed the Cranford Clay Courts Club in 1992, and has
operated and maintained the courts to this date. Membership dues support the operation and expense of maintaining the Club’s facility, and Membership is open to both Cranford residents and non-residents.

Regardless of your skill level (high or low!), the Club welcomes players of all ages. New Members are always welcomed to the courts and it is relatively easy to find folks to play or hit with. A group of Members regularly plays rotating games of doubles or singles on most mornings of the week, including weekends. Also, a Club Trustee will be pleased to hit some balls with you, and will then be able to
provide you with the names of existing Members of a similar skill level as you. Current Members are almost always very pleased to have new players to hit with, so before too long, you will feel “right at home” and have the opportunity to play with a variety of players.

In the event of questionable weather, please call the Club's Weather Hotline at 908.272.4535. June 5th is the make-up rain date, if necessary.

Membership Application Forms and the Club's Tennis Academy schedule can be downloaded at the Club’s website (www.CranfordTennis.com), or picked up at the side gate entrance of the facility. The Cranford Clay Courts Club is located on Springfield Avenue across from the Canoe
Club.
