Dr. Patch Adams, subject of the 1998 movie “Patch Adams” starring Robin Williams, will visit Cranford High School on Friday at 9 a.m. Dr. Adams is a medical doctor, clown and
social activist.
Dr. Adams will present his past achievements and future endeavors to the Cranford High School students to inspire them to spearhead fundraising efforts throughout New
Jersey’s high schools. Dr. Adams is currently building a free hospital in West Virginia, our country’s poorest state, where people will be treated without charge. More than 1,000
doctors have already volunteered their time to work at the new hospital and Dr. Adams is looking to other areas of the country to help fund this effort.
