Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield accepting community service scholarship applications

The Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield (JLEP) is proud to announce that they are continuing their community service scholarship awards. JLEP believes that volunteerism is a vital force in the community, and the league supports young women who share that passion. To that end, each year, the JLEP awards one or more $1,000 scholarships to deserving college-bound seniors who have demonstrated exemplary service to their community through volunteerism.

These scholarships are awarded to female high school seniors residing in Union County. Selection is based on outstanding commitment to community service, academic achievement and leadership activities.

Applications for the 2014 scholarships can be found on the JLEP website www.jlepnj.org and must be postmarked no later than April 14, 2014.
