Cranford,
New Jersey- Cranford's "Shining Stars,” will be performing the third
annual variety
show, on Wednesday May 14th at
7 p.m. at Hillside Avenue School. The children perform a
variety of performances to raise money for ARC, a
nonprofit organization with six decades of
service in Union County. ARC provides recreational and support
services to individuals with
intellectual and developmental disabilities and
their families. They serve approximately
one
thousand children and continue to grow daily. All children with an IEP, between the ages of
three and seventeen in the Cranford School system
are encouraged to participate.
This year’s theme, “No Stopping Us Now”,
provides children with the support to achieve
anything
they put their minds to. No auditions, everyone
is a star in the show! Tickets will be
sold
at the door for $5.00. Sally Curci, director of the show states, “Giving these
children a
chance
to shine on stage is immeasurable, they exceed the audiences expectations and
leave
children
with a sense of pride and accomplishment.”
All donations and proceeds go to the ARC of
